PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Procurement Manager is responsible in overseeing and managing sourcing capabilities and procurement operation. He/she is responsible for strategy and negotiating with vendors in terms of price, delivery and service while ensuring highest commitment to the company by satisfying the customer needs with quality work and efficiency by improving the processes, build effective team and manage ambiguity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and procure items required.
- Work and coordinate closely with customers, vendors, PM, QS and other related functions in sourcing/procuring required items
- Do competitive Bidding when required for new purchases to ensure cost competitiveness without sacrificing quality
- Maintain and monitor purchase orders and ship items according to the required dates
- Arrange and coordinate closely the shipment request with the Logistic team/appointed forwarders
- Build and establish rapport with Suppliers for service & quality improvement
- Attend, liaise and close any quality related issues with the vendors and customers
- Demonstrate leadership and provide training/coaching to Procurement executive to ensure individual's empowerment are achieved
- Create standard work process related to job function to ensure sustainability and efficiency
- Develop others through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments
- Conduct Employee performance review and feedback
- Other ad-hoc jobs related to sourcing & procurement.
- Ensure KPI target is achieved.
- Adheres company’s guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.
- Generate KPI and conduct regular perforance review with the team
