In your role, you will:
- Prepare paint, prepare a surface and apply paint
- Apply paint in accordance with work instructions
- Prepare surfaces for overlap between painted areas
- Prepare for paint touch-ups or small areas (1 liter maximum)
- Knowledge of paint tools and their correct use
- Knowledge of the different types of paints and how to apply them
- Perform all work according to Bombardier standards, including quality and safety policies
- Able to carry out visual checks in accordance with project requirements to identity reasons for both non-conformities and successful outcomes
- Complete timecards daily and ensure that the snag/task card information is correct
- Punctual, meticulous, and good time management
- Adhere to our company General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
- Install sealant and erosion tape
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
- You must have 5+ years of aircraft paint experience on business aircraft or similar
- You must be able to work from documentation such as company procedures, preparation packages
- You must be able to work in a confined space
- You must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- You must have a diploma or relevant trade certificates or equivalent
- You must have basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer
- You must have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials
- You must have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
