Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Staff Engineer)

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines. They are currently seeking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Semiconductor machines to meet the system specifications involving:

1. Design standardisation
2. Costing and project planning.
3. Machine and module conceptualisation design
4. Pneumatic/hydraulic circuit design.
5. Detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.
6. Selection and sizing of standard components available off the shelf.

• Responsible for Continuous Improvement Programme (CIP) and engineering field support.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• 8-10 years relevant experience in Semiconductor or other Automation Machines
• Proficient in any 3D Cad Software
• Good track record in:

1. Ultra High Precision machine design
2. High Speed Pick and place mechanism design
3. Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis. (e.g. stack up error)
4. Engineering material selection
5. Design troubleshooting.
6. Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE

• A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
