As a Sr. Manager, Strategic Cost Management at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for driving the analytics, data and information gathering necessary to achieve the strategic objectives. You will work with your team members and stakeholders across Micron’s global sites, working collaboratively to lead profitability objectives and achieves future cost-down aspirations. You will collaborate with various sourcing and stakeholders. You will guide the team in monitoring key internal metrics, and evaluate category market conditions/trends, supply/demand challenges and other pertinent category dynamics. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across category teams and stakeholders with the category analysts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing actionable insights that enable the category team to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Analytics, insights and benchmarking
- Support the Design and develop and deploy a Cost Management framework to drive ongoing improvement in cost management practices, to enable competitive cost structure;
- Provide and drive thought-leadership on all Procurement cost related aspects (systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, opportunities, roadmaps, etc..)
- Standardize “Should Cost” framework deployment and automation for Font End Manufacturing using industry leading tools;
- Implement advanced predictive cost capabilities;
- Support efforts to enhance the “Cost Playbook”, spend analytics reporting, etc.
- Partner and build effective, relationships with the commodity / category groups, as well as function across the company (IT, Finance, Operations,…)
- Support Design for Cost efforts between Sourcing, Engineering and Business Units;
- Liaison between Procurement and Finance on cost performance measurement, forecasting and reconciliation;
