Visiting Professor (Synthetic Biology Translational Research Program)

Job Description

The Visiting Professor(VP) is expected to:

1. Manage and drive one or more translational research projects, design and execute experiments, assimilate and interpret results;
2. Solve scientific problems, think independently, and suggest creative solutions;
3. Write papers together with the PI for publications or patents and collaborations;
4. To provide advice and networking connectivity for the strategic planning and success of Synthetic Biology Translational Research Program;
5. Provide research strategic directions to researchers and mentorship to PI, researchers, postgraduate and undergraduate students.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. Hold a PhD in medical science/biological sciences/biochemistry/bioengineering/biomedical sciences or related disciplines;
2. Have extensive knowledge and >30 years’ experience in molecular biology, biochemistry or internal medicine;
3. Have a strong record of publications in international journals;
4. Be passionate about science, self-motivated, naturally take ownership of assignments, and proactively propose solutions to arising issues.
