My client is a MNC in construction industry is hiring a Lead Engineer - ELV to join them.
Responsibilities:
- Direct a team of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Engineers during the design and construction phases of large-scale projects, overseeing overall responsibility for technical matters.
- Develop Basic Design, Front End Engineering Design, and detailed design for the Process Control System and other Extra-Low Voltage systems specific to the project.
- Create Sequence of Operations/Logic Diagrams and cause-and-effect analyses.
- Review Design Documents, Studies, Specifications, datasheets, and Calculations prepared by other Instrument Engineers.
- Execute/Expedite Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) system packages during the construction phase, assuming responsibility for the assigned packages.
- Coordinate scheduling activities for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates.
- Interface with other trades during the design phase, incorporating their requirements into Extra-Low Voltage system design.
- Conduct technical evaluations of vendor submissions, including the approval of shop drawings.
- Prepare procedures for testing and commissioning of individual systems and assist in loop commissioning of the controls system.
- Provide guidance to Designers/Draftsmen for preparing cable routing plans, hookup drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedules, Junction Box schedules, Instrument Air manifold schedules, Block diagrams, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Controls/Automation
- Must have 9-11 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in leading the design and construction of process control and instrumentation systems for industrial, intelligent building, and fast-track projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF document generation and management
- Technical proficiency and understanding of Engineering Design and Construction for field instrumentation, Distributed Control System, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Programmable Logic Controller, Direct Digital Controller, Fire and Gas detection & alarm, Safety Instrumented Systems, Closed Circuit, Access Control, Communication, and Information Technology systems
- Familiarity with safety and environmental requirements, along with experience in risk assessment
- Technical expertise and understanding of project execution processes in a fast-track environment
- Extensive knowledge of local code of practice and international standards for design implementation
- In-depth local construction knowledge
