Our core business includes the sales and advertising of products and services by the Nikkei group. We also organize business events in South-East Asia. We operate as a subsidiary of Nikkei Inc.
Roles & Responsibilities
You will be expected to participate in all aspects of advertisement sales, including strategic planning and account management, as well as event planning.
- Build and maintain executive relationships with customers
- Meet and achieve sales goals
- Be a good people manager with the ability to lead, coach, and mentor a high performing team to success.
- Analyze and provide suggestion for sales improvement
- Decide which advertisements might be suitable for our publications
- Communicate effectively with English/Japanese speaking clients
- Report to Headquarters in Japan.
Qualifications / Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field
- Deep knowledge of advertisement marketing and business development
- Minimum 10 years' experience in advertisment sales and event planning in the media industry
- Have experience dealing and negotiating with Japanese and international clients
- Have working experience in a Japanese MNC
- JLPT N1 or native level of Japanese proficiency is required to read our publications, and pitch advertisement space sales to Japanese clients and potential Japanese sponsors.
- Willing to travel frequently for business trips
