What the role is

Allocation and System Department (ALSD) oversees the tenancy allocations and renewals of market and hawker stalls, including the tender policy of hawker centres. It drives the development and enhancement of systems.

What you will be working on

As an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Hawker Centres Group of NEA, you will work in the Allocation & Systems Department to plan and manage tenancy renewal of hawker stalls and ancillary spaces in partnership with Place Managers. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment which will require you to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan, manage and coordinate tenancy renewal of hawker stalls and ancillary spaces on monthly basis
  • Review expiring cases, consult internal stakeholders and seek management’s approval before making offer to eligible stallholders
  • Partner stakeholders to propose, evaluate and implement changes to related policies/processes
  • Attend to renewal requests and queries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Consolidate and analyse statistics for internal and external purposes
  • Review work processes to enhance services and increase productivity
  • Handle any other special projects assigned

What we are looking for

The job might be for you if:

You possess the following qualities,

  • Background in real estate, business or related fields preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in fields such as tenancy management, customer relations, service quality, procurement, digitalisation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Outgoing and pleasant personality
  • Mature, able to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines
  • Self-driven, resourceful and always ready to strive for improvement
  • Organised, meticulous and able to multi-task
  • As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
