- Support and assist the SRE / RE / RA
- Undertake all or part of the duties and responsibilities of the SRE / RE / RA as instructed by the appointed project manager in consultation with the project consultants if no SRE / RE / RA are appointed for the project
- Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
- Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, approved sketches, product or system specifications, contractor’s method statements, installation and working procedures, and site instructions, supervising Qualified Persons and project consultants
- Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies, such as BCA, LTA, NEA, NParks, PUB, SCDF and public utility agencies/service providers such as SPPG, SingTel, StarHub, etc
- Report to the supervising Qualified Persons any work that are not constructed according to the building approved plans, project drawings including shop drawings
- Report to the appointed project manager and/or project consultants any work that are not constructed according to the specifications and drawings
- Liaise with the supervising Qualified Persons and their engineers/architects / specialists on the review and approval of revised designs, amended drawings, specialist drawings, sketches, etc
- Assist in the review of contractor’s method statements and working procedures, and to ensure that they are followed on site
- Monitor contractors’ schedules, day works, site progress, etc
- Verify progress payment claims, all other claims and reports submitted by the contractors
- Check shop and construction drawings, samples, etc. submitted by contractors and their sub-contractors / suppliers / vendors and to report any discrepancies between these and the project drawings and specifications
- Preparation and submission of daily progress report
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in relevant field.
- Must be registered as Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with BCA/IES/ACES
- Shall have a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course
- Possess relevant working experience in the related field is required for this position.
