Job scope :
- Identify and communicate customs-related risks and opportunities to the Head of Customs APAC, Group Customs team, and other stakeholders in the region.
- Assist the regional Head and collaborate with the entire customs community in the company on developing, rolling out, and maintaining a customs governance framework for consistency, efficiency, and sustainability in customs compliance.
- Develop and conduct customs-specific training in collaboration with the Global Knowledge Manager, as required by legislation and authorities.
- Implement measures to enhance performance and compliance levels in local/regional operational teams, shared service centers, and third-party service providers.
- Handle customs-related requests, providing timely, accurate work plans, resource schedules, project estimates, and status reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional customs authorities and other regulatory bodies for effective business operations.
- Offer advice and support on customs procedures/programs to reduce duty obligations.
- Prepare assessments and reports as required by management.
- Monitor legal developments and conduct impact assessments.
- Participate in customs audits when necessary.
Qualifications:
- University degree in business/finance/informatics or interdisciplinary education (e.g., international business law or business informatics).
- Corporate experience in customs/taxes/controlling, finance, or multinational business advisory.
- Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements and their application in Asia.
- Strong communication skills, openness, cooperative working style, and ability to work across cultures and countries.
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
- Prefers a team-oriented working approach and demonstrates high assertiveness.
