To assist the Distribution Manager in the supervision of the team of Logistics Assistants (Import/Export), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations that effectively fulfill or exceed the logistical needs and requirements of the company in a cost-efficient and proficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outbound and Inbound Shipments
- Supervise and track all shipments to ensure their timely and accurate execution and delivery.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule export shipments to meet specified timelines.
- Optimize efficiency in freight and related costs through strategic scheduling and consolidation of export shipments.
- Process all incoming shipments to ensure proper interfacing of IDNs.
- Prepare accurate shipment documentation in GTS for Tradenet transmission.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs regulations for declared permits.
- Daily update and maintain the inbound shipment database, ensuring the completeness of details.
- Provide or obtain information from customers, airline/shipping lines, and government agencies.
CITES Management
- Plan and assess buffer stock levels of re-export CITES to regional markets.
- Enhance the recording and documentation flow for CITES.
- Maintain a balance between buffer level and cost.
- Perform monthly accounting of CITES purchases, issues, and balances.
ATA Carnet Management
- Process ATA Carnet applications.
- Monitor the renewal and return status of all ATA Carnets.
- Liaise with the Chamber of Commerce to resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
- Verify and ensure the correct completion of ATA Carnets by customs.
- Ensure compliance with regional guidelines for ATA Carnet hand-carry.
Management of Forwarding Agents
- Evaluate the performance and service of forwarding agents.
- Security and Insurance
- Coordinate CIT for local and overseas transfers/shipments within Group Transit Limits.
- Manage the Claims Database and provide monthly updates on outstanding claims.
- Organize secure transportation for Brands' events and photoshoots in collaboration with service providers.
Monthly Reports
- Generate and present reports on export shipments, including lead-time performance, CITES purchases and usage
Requirements
- Possess min. Diploma in Logistics.
- Good communication skills and also a team player
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge and experience in air freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of Tradenet and SAP is advantageous.
