Description


• Identify business development opportunities in clean/ renewable energy as well as market expansion for existing products and services.

• Build and manage relationship with existing and potential clients to advance organisation’s business interests.

• Manage relationship with existing and potential clients to develop new opportunities and advance organisation’s business interests


Responsibilities


• Work closely with the General Manager to strategise forays in new energy (ammonia, LNG and hydrogen etc.), and to evaluate new markets for existing products and services to achieve market expansion and business development goals.

• Define, identify and implementation of market entry strategies globally via primary and secondary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, and customer needs assessment.

• To lead market research initiatives (in house or outsource), analyse latest market and industry trends, and identify suitable opportunities.

• Evaluate the findings of market research; assess the viability of alternative market segment for growth and make recommendations on business strategies.

• To identify, build, and manage long-term business relationships with clients and strategic partners.

• To lead strategic initiatives related to investment opportunities in renewables, mergers/ acquisitions/ divestitures activities, setting up new ventures, strategic alliances, IP rights licensing etc.

• Provide full support to Business Development General Manager to drive strategic initiatives related to business development opportunities and strategic alliances, JV’s, distribution agreement, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, IP rights licensing etc.

• Make decision for the organisation within his/her designated authority by assessing ROI, risk and cost/benefit.

• Ensure customer retention and satisfaction for repeat jobs.

• Implement HSE objectives, policy and company HSE procedures within his authority limit

• To integrate Risk-based thinking and HSE considerations into business decisions, plans and operations with the commitment to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.

To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.

• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.


Requirements


• Preferably Degree in Engineering or Business Administration

• Preferably 6 - 8 years of relevant working experience in business development in engineering, Oil & Gas, energy, renewables or consultancy industry
