The Straits Times is looking for an Assistant Newsletter Editor. The right person for the job is a team player, who is strong on content and also understands data well.
Responsibilities
- Supervise content, performance and growth of ST's various newsletters, and curate some of the titles
- Track the key performance metrics of these newsletters, shape and drive a strategy for their growth
- Lead cross-functional discussions and collaboration with other stakeholders such as Consumer Division and Marketing on subscribers-only newsletters, sponsored newsletters or newsletters that are part of bulk sales
- Suggest and supervise new experiments to grow the audience for these products, and to identify potential new titles
- Good understanding of audience segmentation analytics and come up with ways to apply them to daily work, and keep abreast of the best industry trends and practices
- Deliver in-depth reports on performance, audience growth, with proposals for implementable next steps
- You will be expected to use the CMS to set up, make changes and deploy newsletter titles on your own
Requirement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills as you will be liaising with various stakeholders on a range of areas from content to designing to analytics
- Keen interest in news and current affairs, and a good writing style
- Familiarity with Google Analytics is a big plus.
- Prior developer or design understanding and knowledge will be preferred
