Job Description
Key Tasks Prepare, cook and present food as per restaurant standards Supervise Commis Chefs ensuring they are fully trained and understand their duties Ensure kitchen stock is rotated and controlled Order, check in delivered stock and ensure its safe storage Ensure the kitchen cleaning schedule is adhered to Maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu and specials and be able to explain dish descriptions to front of house/ customer Ensure compliance to food safety and hygiene requirements Assist Head Chef in the development of menu items and specials Follow restaurant policies and procedures Adhoc duties as requested
Job Requirements
Minimum of 4 years experience in a commercial kitchen Experience cooking western food
Professional culinary qualifications preferred Basic Food Hygiene course Willing to work shifts/ weekends and public holidays Hard working, team player, shows initiative Benefits Attractive salary (based on experience) Friendly and professional team Working under an experienced Head Chef
