Responsibilities
- This person will be responsible for making sure that facility and their services meet the needs of the people that work in them. The Operations manager is accountable for all the services such as Events Management, Building Services, Maintenance and Project Management, M&E Systems, Audio-Visual System, Security System, Horticulture Services, Pest Control Services and Cleaning Services, to make sure the surrounding environment is in a suitable working condition.
- To report directly to the ACSOH Management on all Facilities Management (FM) Services including seeking his approval of taking leave.
- Exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities.
- To plan the proper sequence of actions to be taken by the technical staff and including director contractors or parties engaged by ACSOH of the FM Services in various specific disciplines.
- To plan for logistics and manpower to facilitate events held at ACSOH Oldham Hall.
Administrative
- Monitor actions taken by the technical staff and including direct contractors or parties engaged by ACSOH for the FM Services in various specific disciplines.
- To develop a systematic means of communication amongst his technical team and parties engaged by ACSOH for the FM Services and evaluate the consequential effects and interactions arising therefore.
- To identify the bottle-necks in the flowchart of various activities and to develop, in collaboration with the concerned parties, ways and means to resolve them.
- To anticipate possible delays and budget-overrun of the FM Services so that appropriate actions may be taken at the appropriate time by the appropriate parties to alleviate or to arrest the same.
Maintenance and Project Management
- To attend monthly meeting with the ACSOH management on the FM Operations requirements of the maintenance contract and project works.
- To manage and supervise the team of Housekeeping, Technical Staff, and Specialist in carrying out duties as specified herein.
- To escalate problems to the ACSOH management immediately if problems cannot be solved.
- To ensure the Scheduled Maintenance and work programmes are followed.
- Responsible for the pre and post contract and procurement administrations for A&A projects.
- To monitor KPI for all contractors serving ACSOH Oldham Hall.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Fire Safety Manager Certificate
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience working with youths and young adults or in the education sector will be an added advantage
- Possess Contract Management skills and Emergency Response Management skills
- Knowledge in Facilities Management, Food Cost and Quality Management, Menu Planning and Management and basic Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
