Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Client Account Management: Oversee the accounting processes for assigned client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, preparation of detailed schedules, and performing regular reconciliations.
  • Taxation: Assist with quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) reconciliations and prepare GST returns. Perform corporate tax computations, adhering to all relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Financial Reporting: Draft comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for assigned clients. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage all aspects of payroll for assigned clients, including processing payroll, calculating employee wages, deductions, and taxes, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Internal Operations: Manage internal administrative tasks related to client acquisitions, client accounts, payroll processing, and general accounting, such as maintaining client files, processing invoices, and handling ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Proven experience in preparing and filing GST returns and corporate tax computations.
  • Experience with payroll processing and compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting and payroll discrepancies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and payroll service providers.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, payroll software, and spreadsheet applications.
