- Perform duties as scrub nurse.
- Check and prepare sterile trolley for surgical cases
- Check instrument, carry out instrument and swab count according to standard protocol
- Check and identify the correct patient for the correct surgery, site of operation, taking special note of the consent, allergies etc
- Ensure accurate labelling and specimens are properly dispatched
- Ensure total cleanliness of the operating theatres and preparation rooms
- Assist in cleaning, packing and sterilization of instrument and surgical supplies according to Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) standards
- Ensure patient education is properly done prior surgeries
- Implement the hygiene, sterilization, asepsis and disinfection protocols and procedures at all times, before, during and after operations, to ensure the safety conditions of patients and staffs
- Ensure patient’s safety at all times
- Ensure consumables and equipment according to surgeon’s preference are available prior surgery
- Position operating table and equipment in the correct position prior the surgery
- Initiates infection prevention activities
- Communicates, documents and evaluates patient's plan of care
Requirement
- A qualified Senior Staff Nurse who are Singapore Nursing Board Licensed and have experience as a Surgical Scrub Nurses and able to assists in PRAS (plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic surgery) Surgeries
- Degree in Nursing
- Working Hours: 9 am - 5 pm (Mon - Fri) and 9 am - 1 pm (Sat)
