The Full-stack Engineer for Qurio should be an expert on backend and frontend technologies, skilled in building systems architecture and applications that drive business growth. This role will start off with optimising, integrating and developing applications for Invity, a health and beauty brand under Qurio’s portfolio of brands, across the markets the brand has presence in, before potentially taking on another brand for the group eventually. Ideally an analytical, self-motivated and performance-driven individual who is also creative with a ton of great ideas.
Core Skills/Knowledge
- Expert in scalable application development and prioritizes best practices, like version control, unit tests and good code hygiene.
- Expert in front and back end technologies, proficient in programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery, PHP, Ruby, Python, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, REST API, Graph QL, SQL, HTML, HTMX, CSS, MongoDB, Firebase, AWS.
- Experienced in martech integrations, data structures and tools like Klaviyo, BigQuery, Google Tag Manager, Dataddo, Airbyte, Segment.
- Experienced with integrations for eCommerce platforms like Stripe, Paypal, Atome, Klarna, Shopee, Lazada, Amazon.
- Experienced in setting up cross-domain tracking systems (cookie, local storage, UTMs).
- Expert with development tools like VS Code, Github.
- Knowledge in Shopify and BigCommerce development a plus.
- Strong knowledge in application security, and experienced in identity management, authentication and registration systems, SSO, Okta, Google and social media sign-ons.
- Expert in running code and application audits that uncover technical issues for multiple market websites.
- A strong problem-solver - map recommendations against tech issues and drive the implementation of solutions.
- Experienced in setting up, running and managing CI/CD processes, version control and application development stages.
- Strong in English language, be it written or verbal.
- Must be both strategic and reactive - able to plan ahead and develop solutions strategically on top of any daily website issues that may occur and take action immediately.
- Be hands-on - this is not a hands-off role.
Overall Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with CMO and marketing teammates to implement web development plans, system integrations and bug fixes in accordance to guidelines, standards and directions.
- Develop and create search-engine optimized content catered for on-site and off-site channels.
- Create web development guidelines and templates for sustainable and replicable implementation.
- Evaluate the performance of websites against goals and generate new insights to further improve upon effectiveness.
- Identify and explore new martech opportunities to increase traffic and sales conversion.
- Partner with internal teams on special projects, campaigns and product launches to provide tech guidance and implementations.
- Reporting: measure and report performance of websites, and assess against goals (ROAS and KPIs)
- Conduct technology research and analysis.
Requirements
- At least a Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- At least 5 to 7 years’ experience, preferably in FMCG and/or retail industry
- Applicants with working experience in similar capacity (e.g. e-commerce advertising) will be highly preferred
