Position Overview:

As the Executive of Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying new opportunities, promoting creative thinking, and facilitating the development and implementation of innovative ideas that contribute to the company's growth, competitiveness, and strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Innovation Strategy:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the organization's innovation strategy, aligning it with business objectives and market trends.
  • Identify emerging technologies, market disruptions, and industry best practices that could impact the organization's products, services, and processes.

2. Idea Generation and Exploration:

  • Lead efforts to encourage creative thinking and idea generation across departments and teams.
  • Organize brainstorming sessions, innovation challenges, and workshops to elicit and refine innovative concepts.

3. Innovation Pipeline Management:

  • Evaluate and prioritize innovative ideas based on their alignment with strategic goals, feasibility, and potential impact.
  • Establish and manage an innovation pipeline, tracking the progress of ideas from concept to execution.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, departments, and external partners to gather insights, validate concepts, and facilitate the development of cross-functional innovation projects.
  • Build bridges between different teams to encourage knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration.

5. Prototyping and Testing:

  • Oversee the prototyping and testing of innovative concepts and solutions to validate their viability and gather user feedback.
  • Iterate on prototypes based on feedback and data analysis, refining concepts for optimal performance.

6. Resource Allocation:

  • Work with the finance and resource management teams to allocate budget, manpower, and resources required for innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources while maintaining a balance between ongoing operations and innovation efforts.

7. Change Management:

  • Communicate the value of innovation to employees at all levels, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams as they navigate changes resulting from innovation projects.

8. Performance Measurement:

  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of innovation initiatives.
  • Regularly assess the progress of innovation projects and provide updates to senior management.

9. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with external partners, startups, industry experts, and other relevant stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Identify potential collaboration opportunities to accelerate innovation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Innovation Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of innovation methodologies, design thinking, and lean startup principles.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of innovation and inspiring teams to embrace creative thinking.
  • Project management skills to oversee the end-to-end execution of innovation projects.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
