THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager/Manager, Fundraising is responsible for developing and implementing innovative community engagement platforms and fundraising channels. He/she will contribute to bringing a philanthropic spirit to the local community, focusing particularly on the public with the aim of developing a stronger commitment towards charity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative and innovative fundraising strategies to secure funding.
- Research, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships, sponsorships and approach trusts, government agencies and other bodies that could potentially make grants to the organization.
- Ensure that fundraising goals are achieved and tracked as well as meeting donors expectations.
- Evaluate donor acquisition results, analyze effectiveness and modify strategies to align with the organizations goals.
- Manage media relations and press release activities pertaining to pre and post of all fundraising activities and community outreach projects.
- Draft proposals and presentations for corporate and donor support and sponsorship.
- Ensure compliance to best practice in Direct Marketing, Data Protection and the Guiding Principles for Fundraising.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Diploma/Degree in Business/Marketing/Media/Social Services.
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
- Ability to budget for programs related to the job scope.
- Ability to adapt, evolve and collaborate with others across different environments.
- Meticulous, strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to function in a multi-cultural environment.
- Desire to excel and thrive in a dynamic social service setting.
- Possess service-oriented attitude and strong in stakeholder management.
- Plan and organize/manage the job independently and pro-actively.
- Proficient in MS Office skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
