RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with educators, subject experts, policymakers, and other relevant professionals to develop quality curricula, instructional strategies and learning resources
- Review, update and make relevant revisions to the existing curriculum to ensure that the curricula and instructional design remain current and relevant
- Review curriculum development and material selection in alignment to MINDS learning framework
- Work closely with MINDS entities to field-test and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment across MINDS Adult Centres to ensure quality delivery across MINDS
- Support the implementation of the curriculum through staff training and development of quality teaching-learning resources
- Conduct feedback reviews with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate effectiveness of the curriculum and instructional design, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Take on administrative and project management duties and obligations responsibly as part of overall curriculum development and management.
- Train and/or facilitate training of staff in the use of course materials to enhance teaching and the application of instructional techniques to achieve clients learning
- Support training staff in the understanding and application of educational and curriculum plans, strategies, and materials
- Work with training staff to be able to develop educational/ training and transition goals
- Work with training staff to develop the learning units that translate the curriculum areas into assessments and learning activities
- Plan, research and develop curriculum to support the review of curricula, improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning and explore strategies to overcome the challenges encountered by centres, clients and training staff
- Collect, organise and interpret statistical information related to curriculum development to help make sense of trends, practices and help guide decisions.
- Make recommendations about the methods and ways to obtain and analyze data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems
- Work closely with the MINDS entities to support curricula innovation during the review and revision of the existing curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment
- A masters or degree in education, curriculum, educational technology, educational psychology, instructional design, communication or related field; a background in teaching and/or professional development, knowledge of current curricula models, instructional design frameworks and assessment methods
- At least 5 years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a similar educational setting
- Experience in special needs and curriculum development
- Demonstrated experience in applied research and data analytics
- High level of written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders (e.g. teachers, training officers, AHPs and management)
- Experience in writing journal papers, technical reports, position papers and practice briefs with minimal guidance (Track record of publications is highly valued)
