*Experienced in Maritime VSAT network.
Practical experience in configuring routers/switches/WiFi (e.g., CISCO), firewalls, intrusion detection/protection systems.
Firewall rules, VLAN configuration, management and security setting.
Maintaining and upgrading Firmware / OS on Network Devices
Configuration, support and troubleshooting of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches
Familiar with building small enterprise network and creating network infrastructure diagrams
Experienced and familiar with Structured Cabling, Network Solutions, Routing technologies
Responsible to provide Network support to customers in a team setting
Windows applications software skills like MS Word, Excel, Power point, Visio, FTP, TFTP, etc
Knowledge of Managed Services and hands on experience on LAN/WAN technologies
Knowledge of Layer 2 & 3 Technologies: Good knowledge of Switching technologies like VLANs, Routing
Knowledge of Cybersecurity, IoT protocols such as modbus TCP/IP is desirable
Possibility to attend shipboard work (not regular basis, maybe 3 to 5 days a month, have extra allowance)
*Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
*Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Qualifications:
Maritime knowledge/experience – an advantage
2-3 years of experience in implementing and supporting network infrastructure
Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications or Information Technology.
Candidates with (in the process or intending to achieve) CCNP or equivalent certification will have added advantage for this position.
Ability to work under high pressure, team orientated and able to work with others in a team
