The SEO Lead for Qurio should be an expert across technical, on-page and off-page SEO with experience in optimizing and providing tech solutions for SEO issues on e-commerce websites. This role will start off with optimising and executing SEO for Invity, a health and beauty brand under Qurio’s portfolio of brands, across the markets the brand has presence in, before potentially taking on another brand for the group eventually. Ideally an analytical, self-motivated and performance-driven individual who is also creative with a ton of great ideas.


Core Skills/Knowledge

  • Expert in running SEO audits that uncover technical, on-page and off-page issues for multiple market websites.
  • Map recommendations against SEO issues and propose solutions.
  • International SEO experience a core requirement (this is a must-have).
  • Able to clearly define SEO problems and propose solutions to developers and other functional teams.
  • Apt with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Search Console, GA4, Google Sheets, Excel, to name a few.
  • Experience with Shopify and BigCommerce SEO a huge plus.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS a plus, and experience in optimizing for PHP and Ruby on Rail sites a bonus.
  • Expert in keyword and topic research to uncover user search intent for on-page and content strategy.
  • Strong in conversion rate optimization for SEO landing pages.
  • A good eye for creatives and content.
  • Strong in English language, be it written or verbal.
  • Must be both strategic and reactive - able to plan ahead and optimise strategically yet on top of any daily website issues that may occur and take action immediately.
  • Be hands-on - whilst there is developer and writer support, at times it will be necessary and faster to simply dive in and execute - this is not a hands-off role.

Overall Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with CMO and marketing teammates to implement SEO plans and strategies in accordance to guidelines, standards and directions.
  • Develop and create search-engine optimized content catered for on-site and off-site channels.
  • Create SEO guidelines and templates for sustainable and replicable implementation.
  • Evaluate the performance of SEO activities against goals and generate new insights to further improve upon effectiveness.
  • Identify and explore new SEO opportunities to increase traffic and sales conversion.
  • Partner with internal teams on special projects, campaigns and product launches to provide SEO guidance and implementations.
  • Drive backlink acquisition.
  • Reporting: measure and report performance of optimisations, and assess against goals (ROAS and KPIs)
  • Conduct market research, channel, audience, topic and competitor analysis

Requirements

  • At least a Degree in Marketing or related field
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in FMCG and/or retail industry
  • Applicants with working experience in similar capacity (e.g. e-commerce advertising) will be highly preferred
  • Team Player with positive learning attitude, yet independent with great initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and handle pressure in a very fast-paced environment
  • Fun, vibrant & outgoing personality
  • Knowledge of data manipulation and visualisation highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • International exposure is highly advantageous
  • Able to take in constructive feedback positively
