Job Description
We are hiring a facilities engineer to be part of a dynamic facilities management team responsible for the operation and maintenance, modification and replacement works of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.
Description
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and supply of utilities (e.g. Electricity, Water, Air Conditioning) to support company operations.
- Responsible for operations and maintenance of facilities related equipment and system e.g. Chilled Water System, ACMV, Compressed Dry Air System, Fire Protection System, Electrical Distribution System, Lifts, Platforms and Cranes etc.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs for all M&E systems.
- Work with procurement for service contracts and liaise with relevant service providers and contractors to implement rectification works.
- Ensure facilities department is always in compliance with all local and government regulations.
- Work closely and manage external vendors for soft services e.g. Security, Cleaning, pest control etc. and technical services (i.e. M&E systems).
- Work with users on facilities related repairs, enhancement works and renovation projects.
- Work with management on facilities equipment modification and replacement works.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, processes, performance and efficiency.
- Support various company level audits from facilities aspect to ensure full compliance of the audits.
- Handle CAPEX and special projects as assigned by Facilities Managers.
- Participate in Workplace Safety and Health Committee (WSHC)
- Other duties as assigned by Facilities Management.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree / Diploma in Engineering or professional qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management, with min. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge in building maintenance, mechanical and electrical (M&E) operations and maintenance, technical services or construction works.
- Experience in building automation system will be an added advantage.
- Facilities related certification and/or accreditation (e.g. SCEM, FSM, GMFM) will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Possess good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Able to support facilities operation and maintenance after office hours when needed.
