Guotai Junan International is a leading diversified financial services company whose core business activities include brokerage, wealth management and investment management. The company has been building up its presence in Singapore to complement its existing businesses in Greater China and serve a wider range of customers and offer new business and financial products to meet evolving investors’ needs in the Greater China and Southeast Asia region.

We are looking for an Operations analyst to join our Singapore Asset Management business and work on a variety of fund and business operational tasks. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make an impact across many areas of our asset management business.


Role and Responsibilities


  • Work closely with the front office, clients, external and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate trade capture and upload for investment funds
  • Trade life-cycle management including trade confirmations, settlements and cash and position reconciilation
  • Perform daily NAV and P&L review & monitor fund expenses and accruals
  • Liaise with data providers for monthly/ ad hoc updates (PPM, Factsheet & Data)
  • Assist in due diligence questionnaire & regulatory reporting testing
  • Assist in brokers onboarding and set up and other related matters
  • Assist in KYC process for onboarding of customers and due diligence for onboarding of service providers
  • Assist portfolio managers in portfolio cash and liquidity monitoring and management
  • Assist portfolio managers in trade implementation as and when required
  • Manage relationships with service providers such as prime brokers, custodians and fund administrators
  • Work closely with compliance team to ensure fund and operational compliance
  • Assist in changes to existing fund set ups and new fund launches
  • Work closely with legal team on amendments to fund-related documentation
  • Prepare periodic reports on fund valuation and performance returns
  • Monitor & manage data on various platforms and website
  • Be involved in the annual audit process and act as one of the main points of liaison with auditors
  • Manage ad hoc projects whenever required


Requirement


  • Degree in business, finance, economics or other relevant disciplines
  • At least 2 years of fund operations experience, with significant experience in buy side firms
  • Must be driven, responsible, proactive, meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure. Must be organized and able to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
  • Must be flexible as the role frequently requires dealing with ad-hoc queries from different stakeholders
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders including clients, service providers, regulators, auditors and senior management
  • Resourceful and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Open to new ideas and proactive in broadening knowledge in unfamiliar areas
  • Strong Excel skills (VBA skills a plus)
  • Ptyhon programming skills a plus
