Marketing Manager

Ad Astra Consultants Private Ltd.

My Client is a globally expanding company with 15 subsidiaries located in Europe, North and South America and Asia. They produce abrasives, micro-finishing products and polishing compounds.


The marketing function focuses on aligning with global strategic marketing direction and then localizing the marketing plan based on the requirements of local markets.


The marketing manager is also involved in Business Development, promoting new sectors and new applications, and upgrading the market and customer processes. Below are the primary duties and expectations for the role, which can keep changing as per the needs of the market and the company:


What you'll do:

  • Help the MD oversee the business, which includes profit responsibility and driving the business within the framework of the company's business objectives.
  • Being a bridge between the market and strategy execution by participating in local meetings
  • and visiting key customers from time to time to calibrate local marketing activities and feedback to the global functions for building the global knowledge base about the Region.
  • A marketing manager needs to be proactive, collaborative, and a good communicator.

Core Marketing Function

  • Market Knowledge & better understanding of Competitors.
  • Creating a good competition activity tracking group to monitor market movements.
  • Managing Influencer relationships, e.g. Paint companies, AOEMs, Wide Belt sander manufacturers and others from time to time.
  • Building The Brand through SoMe & Influencer Management & physical events
  • Production and maintenance of web Link (Website) & Company Internet/Intranet Pages/SoMe accounts.
  • Developing Marketing Materials and Tools
  • Participation in Exhibitions, Sales Meetings, Training Seminars, etc
  • Utilize and expand customer database incorporating refined segmentation for more focused and effective target group promotion.
  • Contact Point for Customers, Suppliers, etc. Regarding Marketing.
  • Sales Cloud & its implementation through focus & follow-ups.
  • Implementing the value proposition, like participating in product launches and campaigns.
  • Alignment & Collaboration with other subs within and outside the Region.


Sales Support

  • Technical Support through End-user pull campaigns.
  • Developing Training and Application Procedures together with the Technical Sales support.
  • Supporting and Training Customers in the Marketing of the company products.
  • Responsible for the Training Centre & its promotion.
  • Working closely with the sales team and partners, developing and implementing plans and strategies that develop brand awareness, create demand, and generate sales leads through digital and traditional marketing platforms.
  • Collaboration with other functions
  • Executing Partner Plans and making Partner programs successful with close Collaboration with CS and Sales.
  • Making the Partner program a success through the Partner Portal initiative with the partners.
  • Promoting an Issueless organization through resolving complaints with CS and marketing it.
  • Close Collaboration with Finance & Admin to ensure MAP hits its yearly KPIs on all fronts.


What you'll need:

  • A university degree or a Major in marketing or engineering is preferred.
  • 5-8 years experience in B2B Marketing for technical products or hand power tools.
  • Ability to learn products and their hands-on applications to become a role model for the sales team.
  • Analytical and data-driven with solid attention to detail.
  • Understanding of company values and big picture perspective.
  • Able to identify and analyze metrics that will support organic growth.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English are necessary.
  • Open to travel across the MAP region.
