Job Responsibilities
· Preparing and brewing for all types of coffees and beverages, and at the same time develop/improve existing SOPs/recipes for all beverages
· Preparation and calibration of the grinder and espresso machine on a daily basis, and ensure consistent calibration by all café staff
· Maintain/improve on existing set standard of quality, service, product and cleanliness at all times
· Develop a comprehensive training Programme on coffee/beverages knowledge and execution for all café staff, as well as knowledge sharing workshops for external stakeholders
· Train and guide new staff on product knowledge, execution and customer service
· Ordering and monitoring of inventory stock for optimal café operations
· Constantly seek our new vendors/suppliers including local and overseas coffee bean roasters, tea suppliers, cake and pastry suppliers etc.
· Planning of beverages’ menu based on seasonality and customers’ preferences, including introducing new blends of coffee routinely
· Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses, including managing bar-side costings within company’s set margins.
· Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase brand loyalty and reputation, and ensure all café staff adhere to company’s standard for customer service.
Job Requirements
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Barista
· Knowledgeable in all aspects of coffee and related products
· Able to handle and operate all coffee related equipment and machines
· Able to come out with ideas for new beverage menu and create them in such a manner that it will be well received
· Able to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
· Passion for good food and beverage
· Commitment to excellent customer service
