Logistics Manager

Our client is US Logistics Company that is expanding its network in Singapore. They are now actively looking for a Logistics Manager to further develop a long-term partnership in this sector. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to join our team. As a Logistics Manager, you play a pivotal role in planning and organizing the daily warehouse and distribution operations related to all products inclusive of Pharmaceuticals and to conscientiously observe and perform all job scope and responsibilities assigned. The Logistics Manager need to ensure all operational details meet customer’s expectations and delivery timelines.

Commercial

  • Prepare commercial proposals for the sales team
  • Design and implement logistics solutions as per customer requirements
  • Guiding and training of the sales and customer service team in logistics related matters
  • Lead RFP/RFI/RFQ logistics requests

Operations

  • Lead the overall running of the warehousing, distribution, inventory management, customer service and billing operations in an efficient and professional manner
  • Balance client facing customer service and daily operations
  • Leading the overall running of the warehouse efficiently
  • Sourcing, procuring and leasing of facilities, CAPEX, services and consumables
  • Service and cost monitoring of outsourced logistics/ transport services including planning
  • Lead the design and implementation of facility layouts, personal and equipment
  • Develop new and enhance existing logistics capabilities and services
  • Implement general SOP’s, operational guidelines and ISO 9000
  • Ensure compliance and maintain accreditation with STP and BizSafe
  • Ensure Compliance of KPIs
  • Implement regulatory requirements related to health & safety and specific industries
  • Conduct and performance incidents reporting
  • A good control of stock inventory, accuracy and accountability.
  • Ensure good housekeeping as in the 5S practice in Workplace /Warehouse
  • Familiar with a range of commodities from furniture, retail, e-commerce, luxury
  • Any other duties as assigned.

People Management

  • Selection and hiring of warehouse and operations staff (approximately 5 full time + temp)
  • Lead and motivate staff to achieve company, suppliers and customer's objectives.
  • Conduct training needs analysis
  • Recommend job related trainings
  • Monitor staff performance periodically
  • Conduct yearly & timely Performance Evaluation with staff (on Workday)

Requirements & Experience

  • To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:
  • Minimum Diploma Level or equivalent or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role for warehouse management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & WMS.
  • Experienced in managing and planning local and cross border transport
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Physically fit
  • Preference for experience in fast moving environment eg e-commerce, retail
