Role
We are seeking a highly-skilled Head of Engineering with a storied history in the technological sector. The Head of Engineering will make executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, to align the company with its vision for its technological needs. You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator and an expert in technological development.
You will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future of the company.
Responsibilities
End-to-end people management
- Lead the local-wide engineering team, including recruitment strategy, onboarding, management and mentoring, aligned with delivery needs and sustainability
- Manage the allocated budget of the Engineering department.
- Be aware of the allocation of every engineer - where they are allocated, for how long, and what they are delivering.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding and training senior staff (engineering managers, lead engineers, etc.)
Processes & coordination
- Ensure the Engineering department adheres to best practices and regulatory standards
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle (from ideation to production support) of internal and external products
- Promote emerging and novel technologies within the organization to seed digital transformative initiatives
- Build new and enhance existing processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and promote efficiency
Senior consultant (delivery)
- Advise digital transformation and product building initiatives
- Short to mid-term assignments
Sales & pre-sales
- Support Business teams in sales and presales for value-added services
- Own the technical scope of offers & communications
Product Development
- Actively contribute to the Staizen product development (mid to long-term goal is to develop a SaaS product to support client transformation)
Staizen Core
- Promote the creation of Staizen Core modules (internal transformation toolboxes, reusable modules, blueprints, templates, etc.)
Technical Vision
- Be accountable and responsible for the deployment of an Engineering vision and roadmap to support Company goals
- Build and deliver a roadmap according to company needs for both the short and long-term
- Provide Technical leadership according to business needs, team capabilities and market standards
- Define, advise, prioritize and influence the use of emerging technologies and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies
- Create and oversee high-level KPIs for IT department
- Manage the technical partnerships
