Field Service Technician

The Service Team is located at our Service centre in Changi airport Terminal 2. As a Service Technician, this individual must be team oriented and flexible, and actively seek to share information and assist his peers. Possesses solid communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrates strong electronic repair troubleshooting methodology and maintains at least an intermediate technical level of product knowledge. Applicants will ideally possess some product knowledge in Computed Tomography (CT) as well as Conventional X-Ray. Critical requirements include effective communication skills and a team player.


Other critical responsibilities include but not limited to, ensuring the team maintains the standard work procedures while upholding Safety at work as paramount.


Key Responsibilities

  • An advocate for Safety at work.
  • Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting the service level agreement.
  • A positive team player at work especially in challenging situation.
  • Installs, repairs and equipment maintenance.
  • Complete all tasks and documentation assigned by the Service Lead, timely and accurately.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach at work, that includes but not limited to, reviewing of all equipment performances, spare-parts, team performances, work processes, training performances, tools, etc.
  • Other duties as required by the Service Lead.

Position Requirements:

  • Education/Training- Engineering diploma. Experience in the installation and maintenance of X-ray machines and security equipment is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge/Skills- Individuals should possess good communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork. Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times. Must be ready for regional travel at short notice. Class 3 driving license is a must.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multi task several projects at once.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual with unreserved initiative.
  • Possess outstanding telephone skills
  • Ability to lift item up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Candidate with no color deficiency eye-sight.

Work Environment

The customer sites are located with all terminals of Singapore Changi Airport
