Job Summary
The Managing Director shall report to our Japan Head Quarter and lead the team in Singapore to implement and achieve company’s vision and long-term goals.
He shall also oversee the operations of the Singapore Office and joint-venture business(if any).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
· Establishing the Company’s policies and objectives and policies that are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the Company.
· Ensure that the Management System requirements are integrated into the Company’s business processes through risk-based thinking and communicating the importance of effective management and conformance with requirements to the Company.
· Take accountability for the effectiveness of the Management System and that it achieves its intended outcomes.
· To ensure that customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood and met consistently.
· To develop and execute Company’s business strategies.
· Establish and monitor cost control program, including annual budget development, payroll and cost analysis.
· Close interaction and communication in Japanese with Headquarter in Japan.
· Execute the corporate vision, mission and initiatives of Headquarter.
Education & Experience
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Management, Economics & Logistics related studies.
· Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry with knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
Language and Communication Skills
· Must be able to read, write and speak English and Japanese fluently.
· Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
· Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience.
Other Skills / Experience
· Working experience with Nissin Corporations in a similar role.
· Strong leadership, problem solving skills, analytical and communication skills to lead the teams in Singapore.
· Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organization skills.
· Experience in managing the operations of an overseas office.
· Experience in managing personnel and effectively communicate information to diverse nationalities.
