Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandise Strategy, Financial Planning and Analysis Responsibilities
- Manage sales & marketing plans with Merchandise Planning department
- Branding & Marketing Responsibilities, including online initiatives to achieve Omni channel budget
- Monthly sales, marketing, cost , traffic, acquisition reporting to EXCO
General Responsibilities
- Manage the merchandising function to meet concept unit goals for sales and profits and through the effective planning of the activities.
- To review effective merchandising & workflow process guidelines for implementation by the merchandising team. To achieve better WIP (work in progress) with all units.
- Oversee the profitability of various portfolios of the concept units. Identify profitable and non-profitable areas and review or expand variable business opportunities.
- To develop and sustain relationships with all suppliers.
- Ensure profit maximization by managing inventory reserves and damages.
- Reviews, analyses, and determines merchandise requirements.
- Oversee & drive Retail Management System upgrade, vendor management, solutions, UPC upload for online sales.
- Report on local & global Trends monthly.
- Develop and maintain open-to-buy, merchandise strategies, replenishment programs to achieve financial plans in partnership with Merchandising & Merchandising Planning department.
- Coordinates regular meetings with stores for the purpose of reviewing business trends, providing input and assistance on technical areas.
Branding & Marketing Responsibilities
- Establish marketing calendar and ensure effective usage of marketing dollar through right choice of platform for both Loyalty Management and non-Loyalty Management base.
- To give clear brief to visual and operations team to ensure it is correctly interpreted in all stores.
- To guide team/negotiate for and present through in-store animation of key launches/animations (at brands, vendor group, concept level).
- To differentiate, create visibility for the stores and in turn creates top-of-mind recall and position Tangs as a favourable destination for shoppers.
- To propose and evaluate new market opportunities based on International & Regional Consumer Trends.
- Bring new market brands to Tangs.com with exclusive market rights
- Any other duties which may be assigned by your immediate supervisor/manager from time to time
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in related field
- 2-3 years of working experience in the retail industry merchandising
- Proven track record in category management, product/brand assortment and vendor management
- Good project management skills with experience in pop up/event planning and in planning changes for layout
- Pro-active self-starter with strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Team player who co-operates well and thrives in a very competitive environment
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Effective Planning & Organization Skills/ Ability to lead and control business operation
- Entrepreneurial Skills: trendspotting, innovative, good business judgment and acumen
