Singapore Sports School is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Coach, Track & Field Academy.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing the training and competition plans for a group of student-athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long-term athlete development principles, under the guidance of the Track & Field Academy Head Coach. You will primarily be coaching sprints, hurdles and relays, but you should have a good knowledge, understanding and experience in fundamental movement skills and multi-event coaching in all events groups for U16 student-athletes. You will keep track of the progress of the student-athletes and provide regular updates to the Track & Field Academy, the student-athletes and their parents. You will work with the Head Coach, General Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student-athletes under your care.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of competitive coaching experience with elite and developmental youth athletes, especially in sprints, hurdles and relays and with knowledge, understanding and experience in fundamental movement skills and multi-event coaching in all events groups
- Possesses an international coaching qualification in Track and Field Athletics recognised or accredited by World Athletics, of at least Level 1 Coaching, with Level 2 Coaching preferred
- Possesses at least SG-Coach Level 1 certification or equivalent and is registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC). For foreign coach selected for the position, Singapore Sports School will facilitate the registration with the NROC
- Displays good understanding of sports science as applied to elite youth sports based on long term athlete development principles
- Competent in values inculcation and character development for student-athletes
- Good planning, administrative and organisational skills
- Able to communicate well in English with student-athletes and stakeholders
