Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualized Education Planning:
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Learn to conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, needs, and learning goals.
- Assist in adapting and modifying curriculum materials, teaching strategies, and instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
2. Classroom Instruction:
- Deliver instruction to students with special needs, under the guidance and support of experienced educators.
- Implement various instructional techniques, materials, and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and social-emotional development.
3. Progress Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Learn to monitor students' progress and assist in assessing their academic, social, and behavioral development.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, observations, and achievements.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to review student progress and provide input on instructional strategies and interventions.
4. Individualized Support and Differentiation:
- Provide support to students based on guidance from experienced educators, including implementing remediation, accommodations, and modifications.
- Assist in differentiating instruction to address a range of abilities, interests, and learning styles within the classroom.
- Collaborate with therapists and support staff to integrate therapeutic goals and strategies into the educational program.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student support and development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on student progress.
- Develop effective communication skills to maintain open dialogue with parents and caregivers regarding students' educational goals, progress, and strategies for support.
