JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors to source goods, and services that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining a balance between cost, quality, and reliability.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve any supplier-related issues promptly.
- Cost Management: Implement cost-saving strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall expenditures.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to make informed decisions and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured products meet the required quality and safety standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, and industry regulations, in all procurement activities.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, logistics, and finance, to align procurement strategies with company objectives.
- Reporting: Generate reports and provide regular updates on procurement metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, with at least 2-3 years.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of achieving cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier evaluation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
- Experience in FMCG industry
