Job Summary:
The Corporate Level Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the human resources function within Robust International. Based in Singapore, this position oversees HR operations on a global scale, with a particular focus on the African continent where our major facilities are located. The role entails designing and implementing HR policies, ensuring operational health and safety compliance, fostering employee engagement, and supporting the growth and development of our workforce.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and values.
2. Design and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry standards across different countries.
3. Oversee the recruitment and selection process, collaborating with hiring managers to identify talent needs, conduct interviews, and make effective hiring decisions.
4. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and providing support during separations.
5. Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives, promoting a positive work culture, fostering teamwork, and enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.
6. Advise and support managers and employees on various HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
7. Coordinate internship programs, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding of interns. Provide support and guidance to interns throughout their internship period.
8. Design and conduct orientation programs for new employees, ensuring they receive comprehensive information about the company, policies, and procedures.
9. Implement effective compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonus schemes, and employee recognition programs.
10. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular assessments and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
11. Drive learning and development initiatives, identifying training needs, coordinating training programs, and facilitating talent development opportunities.
12. Oversee HR data management, ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping, HRIS administration, and timely reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
Proven experience (7+ Years) in a senior HR management role with a global organization, preferably within Agricultural / Logistics sector.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Singapore and various African countries.
Demonstrated expertise in HR policy development, employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.
Strong understanding of operational health and safety standards and their practical application in diverse work environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and geographies.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to HR decision-making.
Proficiency in HR information systems and other relevant software applications.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of other languages relevant to the company's operations is an asset.
