- Position Title: Lead Process Engineer (Injection Moulding)
- Working Location: North - Yishun (Nearest MRT: Canberra)
- Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8.30 am – 5.30 pm)
- Salary Package: Up to SGD 8000 + Performance Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Establish process conditions through scientific moulding for existing/new products
- Troubleshoot moulding processes and material or equipment issues
- Evaluate tooling for areas of concern, areas of improvement for quality and efficiency, and recommend improvements to optimize moulding, set up, and overall manufacturing
- Collect and analyse data on individual processes to identify and improve process capability
- Document and maintain Mold process sheets for accuracy
- Support process technicians through training in scientific moulding practices
- Leadership role in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
- Use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other techniques to analyze process data to determine capabilities as well as improvements
- Manage projects, and ensure all tooling is executed smoothly and efficiently against an agreed plan
- Perform evaluation and development activities to provide solutions for technical problems to sustain and improve production yield, quality, process cycle time and cost reduction
- Lead team in problem-solving – identification of problems and analysis of the root cause
- Conduct proof of concept (POC) evaluation and design of experiments (DOE) during development, establish baseline process and metrics
- Lead design of experiments (DOE) to establish a stable and robust process that can be handed off to production personnel
- Develop detailed training manuals and independently train production staff on machine and cell operations
- Exhibit clear technical information and supporting documentation to ensure accurate handover to cross-functional teams
- Audit manufacturing process - assessing process inefficiencies, safety improvements, and potential optimizations through the implementation of automation
- Develop methodology and process to monitor die temperatures and automated evaluation (including acceptance criteria) for start-up procedure vs. steady-state production
- Solve technical and emergent issues in the manufacturing cell (part quality, machine reliability, process instability, etc.)
- Create and manage detailed step-by-step troubleshooting work instructions and manage on-schedule completion of training activities for Technicians
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Production Leaders, Production Technicians, Machine Operators, Material Handlers
- Be vocal as a participant, influencer, and presence for Process related Development

- Diploma in Engineering or Sciences
- Min. 5 years’ experience in plastic injection moulding environment
- Experience in process capability studies and tooling technical incline is a plus
