In this role you will be responsible for driving the delivery the differentiated career experience for our top talent, with a focus on the mid career talent segment (B5 / B6).

Delivering an exceptional colleague career experience for our top talent is at the heart of this role and to be successful you will draw upon experiences where you have developed key skills like building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with others.

A background in technical skills across of wide range of cross functional HR disciplines will help you hit the ground running, along with an appreciation of how to get things done across global, region and market contexts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

· Partner with key stakeholders to influence, shape, and deliver cross functional careers and talent management priorities that drive value across the Bank

· Provide strategic advisory, subject matter expertise and consulting capability to support the delivery of the firms careers and talent management objectives and key results

· Partner with relevant HR stakeholders to drive consistency and impact of talent practises, processes and key messages across the Bank

· Leverage workforce data and insight to demonstrate impact, effectiveness and influence people and talent related decisions across the Bank

· Proactively form credible relationships and drive impact of the talent function through availability of data that influences decision making across the business

Products

· Develop and execute strategies that enhance the overall experience for identified talent in our mid career segments (B5-B6), working closely with HR colleagues to connect global and local initiatives

· Responsible for driving the execution of the differentiated career experience for our identified mid career talent segments, including enterprise wide initiatives that are targeted to priority talent pools

· Provide quality assurance in the design of talent development initiatives, ensuring that colleague experience is a key principle and that we leverage the range of assets that are available across the Bank by showcasing good practise across our markets

· Manage the overall experience and engagement of identified talent who are participating in the Banks globally led mid career talent development programmes

· Collaborate with key partners, business segments and markets to drive engagement, adoption and impact of the products, platforms and tools that are curated for our identified talent

· Establish regular engagement with colleagues in the Banks mid career talent pools to gather feedback and measure effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance the experience and impact of our career offer

· In collaboration with key stakeholders manage routines and practises that surface employee career stories to showcase the Banks employee value promise of ‘investing in your growth and wellbeing’ and demonstrate the commercial impact of our talent development efforts

· Partner with CABM and other relevant stakeholders to effectively market our differentiated career offer, ensuring consistency of key messages between internal and external audiences

Processes

· Partner with GPOs and Product Owners to discharge process owner responsibilities for relevant HR processes as required

· Support GPOs to review new and existing processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, reduced operational risk and improved employee experience

· Set and monitor responsibilities for colleagues supporting delivery of the role objectives and key results, ensuring that continuous, balanced feedback is provided in line with performance goals

Risk Management

· Ensure effective first line identification, management, monitoring and reporting of risks is undertaken in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) in a way that is consistent with the authority and responsibilities of the role

· Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

· Maintain oversight of appropriate governance and controls, as they relate to the roles objectives and key results, and if necessary propose / implement changes as necessary

· Engage with relevant audit report findings and ensure feedback is acted upon

Regulatory & Business Conduct

· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

· 12+ years' experience in Human Resources across complex multinational organizations, ideally with a background in professional services, management consulting or financial services Talent Management

Role Specific Technical Competencies

· Knowledge of and ability to align the organization's people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology and business processes

· Knowledge of, and ability to use, tools and processes for creating and maintaining a marketing approach to promoting the company or a product line

· Knowledge of policies, considerations and processes of human resources (HR)planning and development; ability to plan and develop an organization's HR operations in order to increase individual and organizational effectiveness

· Knowledge of and ability to align the organization's people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology and business processes

· Knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze workforce data, information and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions.

· Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

· Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
