Reporting to the Design Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing technical 2D/3D drawings/layouts based on specifications of clients.
A Day in the Life
- Prepare detail drawings and formulate project design packages using CAD and 3D software
- Collaborate with Designers on specific requirements for technical drawings
- Prepare specifications, verify accuracy and completeness of drawings
- Anticipate problems in manufacturing, assembly, installation and operations
- Review progress on site and ultimately be responsible for design quality and experience
- Conduct design presentations to prospective buyers to convey design intent
- Perform any other adhoc duties
We are looking for
- Diploma in Interior Design, Product Design or Architecture
- 1-2 years of related working experience
- Excellent knowledge of design tools such as AutoCad, Sketchup, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, VRay and Photoshop
- Experience in retail store environments and design of retail fixtures is a plus
- Have a strong design sensibility and the technical ability to develop a project from concept to execution
- Knowledge and familiarity with metal, wood, glass and plastic fabrication is preferred
- Possess excellent design flair with an eye for details and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work under pressure of meeting timelines
