Overview
You will be working directly with cross-functional, cross-institutional business leads to analyse and improve the credit and collection practices for NUHS Cluster.
Responsibilities
- Conduct an end-to-end analysis on current credit and collection practices in NUHS Business Office Shared Services with the aim to improve collection rate.
- Work with institution’s Operation teams to improve, tighten and comply with upfront credit management practices for non-resident patients.
- Monitor inflight patient’s bill escalation for deposit top-up, collection of past outstanding bills, conference with patient / Next-Of-Kind / Doctor / MSW on patient’s financial affordability for complex cases.
- Follow up on Non-Residents bills post discharge, including liaise with Corporates and Insurance Companies on LOG, work with MOM, ICA or other statutory board for assistance on outstanding bills relating to foreign workers, prisoners and illegal immigrants, including initiate legal actions
- Manage and review outsourced partner (1FSS) work according to SLA – reminder letters, collection agencies, patient enquiries hotline, write-off paper
- Summarise and communicate to management team on key issues, risks and key performance indicators to manage the process of various measures
- Partner with Data Protection Office to develop and improve on existing controls and processes in compliance with PDPA Act
- Participate in projects and system implementation in term of controls and risk assessment on credit management
- Work closely with internal and external auditors
Requirements
- Possess a Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Business or the equivalent with at least 5 to 7 years’ experience in credit management, audit or compliance.
- Experience in healthcare industry will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Process Redesign, SAP and Microsoft Office suite
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good verbal communication and presentation skills
