Job Description
Sub Contractor firm seeking for Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) engineer.
Job Responsibilities
- Good standards and understanding construction quality assurance
- Perform checks on the structural, architectural or material / works in steel, extrusion, metal (mild steel / stainless steel / aluminium), glass and aluminium sheet related to ensure that the final touch-up works are ready for inspections.
- Coordinate on quality matters with project team, conduct regular inspection to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
- Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained, assist in yearly ISO audit.
- Prepare Quality Control Plan, procedures, and QA/QC reports.
- Conduct periodic training for site personnel and subcontractor’s workers where necessary.
- Identify, feedback and provide corrective actions in areas of quality control and quality standards.
- Gaining an understanding of main-con needs and requirements and communicating to them and the quality standards to the production teams.
- Devise ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
- Improve and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes.
- Set the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
- Ensure legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
- Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
- Keep accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
- Identify and resolve workflow and production issues.
- Document QA/QC activities and creating audit reports.
- Create training materials and operating manuals to ensure consistent quality.
Job Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Structural Engineering or its equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Metal work and Facade industry.
- Knowledge of welding inspection and ISO Standards, familiar with CONQUAS, Green Mark and others essential BCA requirement.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willing to travel to various sites.
