Reporting to the Director Air Traffic Controller (ATC) & Digital, the LORADS-III Program Manager is responsible for the performance of the LORADS-III Program within the ATC & Digital Segment including program delivery, business growth, budgeting, financial reporting, people management and development.

As a Program Manager, you are accountable for:

Leading, developing and managing the LORADS-III Integrated Program Team (IPT) to achieve agreed growth, sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. This includes:

  • Safe delivery of projects and services with a focus on the development of a strong safety culture;
  • Delivery of contractual commitments with a focus on ‘on-time’ delivery and the achievement of baseline project margins;
  • Reporting of progress to senior management and senior customer stakeholders;
  • Develop & maintain customer intimacy and customer satisfaction;
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of ATC Services Delivery and the Services team in the global Segment to deliver best practice capability and globally alignes solutions with the objective of optimising cost, On Time Delivery (OTD) and quality with the best possible commercial outcomes;
  • Support the development and implementation of best practice approach to Bid and Project activities;
  • Ensure that the relevant Thales policies, procedures and governance are adhered to with the sector, with a particular focus on PP&E and HSE compliance;
  • Demonstrate leadership that inspires and promotes Thales’ leadership model in a manner that represents a stewardship role for company culture;
  • Provide effective leadership, communicating strategy and objectives and providing a working environment that encourages staff development and active participation within the sector;
  • Mentoring and coaching of junior staff;
  • Program workforce planning with a focus on the management of an Integrated Program Team;
  • Ensure direct reports deliver results by providing feedback, advice and direction through the Check-In process; and
  • Act as single point of escalation for all personnel delivering to the LORADS-III Program.

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Degree qualified in business, engineering, project management or other suitable discipline.
  • IPMA-B Certification or ability to secure certification.
  • Proven and effective leadership skills with a high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience delivering in a multi-disciplined, multi-cultural and multi-entity operating environment.
  • The confidence and maturity of judgement to represent the company at senior levels with customer organisations both nationally and internationally.
  • Exceptional written communication skills including authoring content and editing.
  • Strong internal stakeholder management in a matrix organisation.
  • Strong customer focus and external relationship management.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • IPMA-B Certification or ability to secure certification.
  • ITIL framework or other services framework experience.
  • Experience in Project Managing ATM products, systems and/or services delivery in an international environment.
