The project aims at designing and developing cybersecurity solutions for wide range of cyber physical systems / modernized critical infrastructure (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart grid, etc.). The expected outcome is product-ready technologies that can be translated into real-world use.
The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing a number of subroutines, integral to our overall development and/or simulation efforts.
Below are some of the expected tasks.
· Conduct research and development in threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, security integration and testing of cyber-physical systems.
· Develop tools and algorithms that aid in the analysis of system vulnerabilities, cyberattacks, network traffic, and threat hunting.
· Penetration testing, threat hunting, and vulnerability assessment of cyber-physical systems and critical infrastructure
· Implement machine learning based techniques for inferring system invariants from network traffic
· Developing digital twin of smart nation systems for cybersecurity evaluation and planning.
This position requires:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields.
· Demonstrated experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages. Strong proficiency or keen interest in C/C++/Python highly preferred.
Besides, depending on tasks, one or multiple of the following skills and experience are preferred.
· Knowledge of and experience with penetrating testing methodology for cyber-physical systems using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, BASH scripting, and Lua.
· Proficiency in web application development prototyping, system integration, and security testing.
· A background or substantial interest in data structures, algorithms, computer networks, and security will be advantageous.
· A strong desire to learn about cybersecurity is essential.
· Experience in network simulator and/or model-based simulators like Matlab Simulink.
· Experience in network and system virtualization technologies is a plus.
· Strong math background.
