The Regional Operations Executive (Process and Quality) is a vital and empowered role, fully accountable to drive system quality & compliance control, process quality & improvement, process standardisation & adoption, and to scale financial health and trade compliance initiatives throughout the Southeast Asia region. This role will collaborate closely with the Branch Trainers and GMs in executing operational effectiveness & excellence, and to ensure uniformity of process, system and tool adoption, performance analysis, and continuous improvement across a multitude of operational KPIs.
This individual shares accountability, along with their regional operations stakeholders, to meeting the operations performance and objectives of the overall region.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for analysing, mapping and documenting the current and future requirements and processes, as part of a defined standardisation framework and alignment across the region.
- Conduct studies of operations and workflow processes utilising interviews, site observations, and job shadowing techniques to map current (As-Is) with future (To-Be) processes.
- Conduct fact gathering through mapping and workshops and employ quantitative and qualitative data
analysis to document process reengineering efforts. - Responsible for developing all supporting documentation: policies, standards, procedures, process, outlines and playbooks, roles and responsibilities.
- Streamline the processes to include adopting the right technology solution, dashboards, and reports to monitor operations performance.
- Work with Branch Trainers to focus on improving productivity or work methods reducing costs and improving risk management and control through value stream mapping and business process automation.
- Utilize data to monitor operational KPI’s and raise potential outliers or risks to KPI goals, measuring the effectiveness and efficiencies of processes or systems; defines, and documents complex business requirements and processes.
- Plan, develop and conduct “Train the Trainer” workshops for Branch’s Trainers to be effectively deliver training, performance measurement, analysis improvement and control to support branch’s operational and commercial objectives
- Collaborate closely with Branch Trainers and GMs to drive adoption of required processes; identify and improve inconsistencies and deficiencies, and to turn data-driven
findings into operational successes. - Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement, to exchange of ideas
and provide cross-team learning opportunities. - Spearhead global initiatives, serve as a substantial Subject Matter Expert resource working with the region/global task force, in the development and implementation of company’s policies relating to customs compliance (e.g. import/ export control, with emphasis on companywide compliance to U.S. Customs Regulations); trade security related assessments, reviews and certifications (e.g. C-TPAT, TAPA, AEO) and industry certification (e.g. IATA).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding/ supply chain experience.
- Proficient in MS Office software, particularly PowerPoint and Visio.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), facilitation, presentation, coaching, and training skills.
- Strong knowledge in operations, process mapping and data flow reengineering.
- Ability to create and interpret project plans, specifications, flowcharts, with strong desire for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple projects, organized and detail oriented.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under tight deadlines and minimal supervision.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to collaborate and align across functional and geographical boundaries to achieve results.
- Ability to build strong rapport and effective communication channel at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills, and ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
- Ability to travel internationally when necessary.
