About the Role:


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in working with patients across a diverse range of clinical settings within the hospital. You will collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that enable patients to manage pain, regain movement, and achieve their functional goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' physical, neurological, and musculoskeletal needs and limitations.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions tailored to individual patient diagnoses and goals.
  • Provide manual therapy techniques such as massage, joint mobilization, and stretching to improve flexibility and range of motion.
  • Design and supervise exercise programs to strengthen muscles, improve balance and coordination, and promote functional independence.
  • Educate patients on self-management strategies, pain management techniques, and the use of assistive devices.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and seamless transitions between different settings.
  • Document patient progress accurately and effectively in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
  • Advocate for the role of physiotherapy within the hospital and contribute to ongoing service development.


Qualifications:

  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a relevant setting, such as acute care, rehabilitation, or community practice.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices in physiotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach to working with other healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and adapt interventions to unique patient needs.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care that is respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive.
