What you'll do

The ER Business Partner based in Singapore will be responsible for our APJ region (including Australia, Singapore and Japan) as well as our newest office in Bangalore. The ERBP will be responsible for the effective completion of sensitive employee concerns and ER related issues. They will be responsible for handling the ER matters for the region, inclusive of Performance Management, Investigations, Manager Coaching, Accommodations and Absences, and finally Policy Updates. Additionally, they will analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to HR Business Partners and the business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues. As the subject matter experts, they will advise and collaborate with business partners in all matters related to employee relations.


This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Director, Employee Relations.


Responsibility

  • Influence, mentor and provide expert advice to Leaders and Managers on complex people and change issues with the local HR team
  • Work with people managers on performance improvement conversations and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) documents as well as terminations
  • Conduct effective, detailed, and objective investigations of varying levels of difficulty and sensitivity
  • Manage assigned casework independently, bring investigations to closure rapidly and definitively and balancing time between projects and crisis-response
  • Handle and lead all aspects of the accommodation process for the region and analyze casework trends to provide proactive recommendations to HR and the business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues
  • Consult and collaborate with business partners, and Legal teams on complex employee investigations and matters
  • Be responsible for maintaining local and regional handbooks which follow local regulations and align with global standards and provide communication or training for managers and employees to ensure they are understood
  • Participate as a stakeholder in crisis management planning and provide feedback and advice during a crisis to advise the crisis management team’s decision-making and the overall crisis response

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • 5+ Years experience within HR/Employee Relations at an international company with a shared service set up and matrix organization
  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field - law, HR, business, etc.

Preferred

  • Strong coaching, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
  • Experience in India, Japan and Australia
  • Second language skills
