What you will do:
As Senior Sales Engineer, Industrial Heat Pump, you will create the market for Johnson Controls heat pump in Singapore as IR base business for the future. Heat pump has big growth potential in the industry as it helps saves energy and reduces carbon emission.
- Lead and drive heat pump sales and business development activities in Singapore to deliver sustainable, profitable growth with a balanced business portfolio.
- Create and develop new heat pump applications and opportunities.
- Drive account management, and sell strategy to end users, contractors, and engineering facilitators.
- Direct the deployment and execution of the company sales strategy, programs, processes, and tools to achieve agreed sales objectives according to short and long term plans.
- Provide a continuous improvement focus on projects pipeline creation, forecast.
- Provide insightful support to the marketing team, to increase the market awareness and the local acceptance of JCI IR products.
- Manage with high attention the image of the company brands in the country.
- Work in perfect harmony with the aftermarket sales team to maximize the country sales.
- Area of responsibility can be extended to other SEA countries as assigned.
How you will do it:
- Research and plan list of potential customers.
- Plan and execute visits with support of Application Team and Energy Audit/SI Team.
- Learn and understand customers cooling and heating processes with view to uncover suitable heat pump applications.
- Manage all aspects of country sales planning and forecasting, results measurement including volume, margin and project management.
- Report results in time, with clarity and objectivity to senior management.
- Drive the realization of sales strategies and sales growth programs.
- Embrace a “best in class” mentality within the team and the JCI distribution network promoting IR equipment in the country.
- Lead and set the example in sales management practices consistent with JCI business negotiation and sales standards. Ensure full adherence of the sales team to the JCI approval processes.
- Adhere strictly to JCI code of ethics and company policies. Ensure the sales team understand, value, adhere and comply strictly with JCI code of ethics and company policies.
- Prepare individual performance reviews and discuss with the management in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What we look for:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree, preferably in Mechanical engineering and HVAC engineering or Electrical / Electronic engineering.
- Sales and Business acumen with a good understanding of financials.
- 3 years’ experience in technical sales of capital based, engineered equipment, sales management, and marketing.
- Demonstrated credibility in achievement of sales and profit plans for an extended period of time.
- “Hands on” mentality including direct sales experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of JCI industry and company culture, with the ability to integrate rapidly a matrix organization structure and work effectively to achieve success.
- Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills in influencing and working with different cultures, mind sets and languages.
