Requirements
· At least GCE’O’ Level or relevant working experience
· Familiar with Marine purchase environment
· Competent in operating MS Word, Excel Job description
Purchaser Responsibilities
· To source and procure ship spares and stores locally and overseas.
· Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, quality , delivery schedule and logistical expenses
· Liaising with various departments to ensure that they meet vessel requirements.
· Liasion of Ship spares/stores loading cum freight arrangements
· Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
· Provide Purchase Orders and follow up on delivery Status.
· Monitor deliveries to ensure compliance with contracts. If goods are defective or unacceptable, to contact vendors to work out concessions and solutions.
· Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
