Job Description / Responsibilities
The candidate will be a member of the Integration Services Systems Infrastructure team that manages Server infrastructure and System Management systems.
His/her responsibilities include the following:
- System Management, Administration, Compliance and Support
- Proactively manage and maintain Systems and services to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime in accordance with SLA.
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments in accordance with compliance policies.
- Fault diagnosis, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitor system performance.
- Review or propose remediation solutions to address vulnerabilities identified and ensure the solutions are implemented in accordance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on infrastructure managed.
- Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance as part of the rotational duty support team.
- Maintain proper documentation according to organizational policies and practices.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
- Support audit and compliance activities.
- Generate periodic reports according to organization practices.
- Perform change and release management activities according to organization practices.
- Coordinate / Perform Level 1,2 and 3 support and service provisioning requests.
- Liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders and/or customers to identify troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Support other IT related activities when required.
(a) Education Qualification
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT related discipline
- Relevant IT certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, or similar are preferred
(a) Relevant Experience
· Possess relevant Server Administration experience on both Windows and Linux operating systems
· Possess Strong knowledge of IT systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
· Possess experience in scripting (e.g., Linux Bash shell, Windows PowerShell)
· Possess experience in project management and able to provide good support to Project Managers
· Experience with the following technologies will be advantage:
1. Virtualization technologies - VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV
2. Hyperconverged Infrastructure – Dell VxRAIL and Nutanix
3. iPaaS platform – Boomi iPaaS
4. ITOM/ITSM - ServiceNow
5. Splunk
6. System Monitoring – SolarWinds Server Application Monitoring (SAM)
