Our client is an established asset management group with good growth potential. The group is working on raising third-party capital and is hiring the below role to strengthen its marketing reach and capabilities.
In this role, you will be working closely with members of the Investment team at the entity level and holding co level to execute co-investments in late venture and early growth agri-food tech companies; and the ongoing monitoring of these portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Work within the Investment team to evaluate investment opportunities in late venture and early growth agri-food tech companies, with a focus on the Asia Pacific Region.
- Perform detailed financial analysis including financial modelling, valuation and returns analysis, and comparable benchmarking on target companies.
- Support the execution of investments including due diligence, preparing of presentation materials for internal approvals, transaction negotiations and reviewing of definitive agreements.
- Assist in monitoring overall portfolio performance and tracking of key metrics through active engagement with portfolio companies.
- Conduct market and industry research to identify potential investments and to keep abreast of macro, industry and regulatory developments.
- Assist in the preparation of external reports and presentations, case studies and other marketing material to support fundraising and investor relation efforts.
Requirements
- Strong academic background - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, Economics from a reputable institution.
- Around 2 to 5 years of related corporate finance, M&A and transaction advisory exp gained with Big 4 firms or corporate finance firms. Or you are doing a similar investment role with a PE/VC firm.
- Ability to work independently as part of a small team, and to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
- Resourceful with strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Experienced in due diligence and reviewing investment documentation.
- Experience in agri-food / technology / venture stage investing would be advantageous but not a must
- Strong interest and passion for technology and startups.
- Ability to work independently as part of a small team, and to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
- Candidates pursuing or completed CFA/CAIA/advanced degrees preferred.
- Detailed with a good work attitude.
